| | | Whenever
you feel annoyed, frustrated, impatient, irritated, outraged, or resentful, write
a letter to someone. State specifically - when, where, and what happened that
caused you to feel the way you do. Use the word or words that best describe your
angry feelings. I feel ... annoyed, frustrated, impatient, irritated,
outraged, resentful, and/or hurt because... After writing your
letter, read it, tear it up, and throw it away. You have gotten rid of your angry
feelings and made room for good feelings and pleasant thoughts. A good time
to express your angry feelings in writing is before going to sleep. Doing so allows
your body and mind to relax, rest comfortably, and get recharged with positive
energy. You will rise and shine and be able to meet the new day..

| Anger
is a reaction to painful traumatic experiences of abandonment, abuse, betrayal,
deprivation, neglect or rejection. If
feelings of anger are ignored or denied, they will fester and become toxic repressed
anger. Repressed anger destroys self-esteem, adversely affects every relationship
by interfering with a person's ability to trust and relate well with others, and
prevents an individual from achieving a satisfactory solution to a problem
